Recorder Classes and Contest for Young Players
In 2020, Montclair Early Music sponsored its second annual Recorder Contest for young players. The program included free virtual classes to prepare the students to play a piece for the contest. The four winners performed and received their awards at a socially distanced outdoor concert, A French Masque, at Avis Campbell Gardens in Montclair on October 4, 2020.
The free classes were open to all students — from beginners with no previous music instruction to those who play other instruments.

Holiday Celebration
at Aging in Montclair Saturday, December 28, 2019, 2-4 pm Aging in Montclair, Inc. The Salvation Army Building, 13 Trinity Place, 2nd floor, Montclair, New Jersey 07042 Mingle and celebrate the holiday season with Aging In Montclair on Saturday December 28. Join old and new friends for holiday cheer. Enjoy free refreshments. There will be a free raffle and many prizes. Free parking. Montclair Early Music will provide the entertainment. We will perform a mixture of music — including dance, madrigals and patriotic songs — and will add to the festive atmosphere by donning our period costumes.
