Montclair Early Music is happy to have Jeremy Watson joining our Jubilee concert! He will be accompanied by Heather Bennett for a very special performance during our February 10 fundraising concert and featured as a soloist.
Jeremy Watson is a classical singer, music educator, and Music and Arts City Commissioner for the Paterson Arts Exchange within the city of Paterson, NJ. He currently serves as a Music Teacher for Paterson Public Schools, and Choral Teaching Artist for the Paterson Music Project through the Wharton School of Music.
As a graduate of the Rosa L. Parks, School of the Fine and Performing Arts, Jeremy went on to attend Westminster Choir College for Opera Performance and Music Education. Jeremy graduated Ramapo College of New Jersey, Magna Cum Laude, with a Bachelor of Arts in Music, Concentrations in Voice Performance, Music Studies, and Music Industry. Jeremy also attended Teachers College - Columbia University where he received a Master of Arts in Music, with concentrations in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy, and Choral Conducting.
And recently completed his international baccalaureate teaching as a Firebird Fellow through the Academy for Impact Through Music, an innovation lab for changemakers tackling social inequality through music education provided through the Hilti Foundation in Lisbon, Portugal.
